TSE GameTime ScriptPRO Tips and Discussion
TSE GameTime Tip of the Week: Segment Bar Times
by Jeanette Ehnerd on 02/09/12
While building a production schedule in TSE GameTime ScriptPRO, you will notice the blue segment bars have two times that are in parenthesis. The first time is the duration of the entire segment. If it is a Pregame segment, the duration is the difference from when the segment starts to when the next segment begins. If it is an In Game segment, the time is the duration that you set in the modify segment window. The second time in parenthesis is the total duration minus the duration of the elements under that segment, or how much time is left over. If it negative and the segment is red, then you know you have gone over the allocated time for that segment.
Note: The Segment Bar Times can only be viewed while building a production schedule and while in GO LIVE. They cannot be viewed on a printed out document.
TSE GameTime Tip of the Week: Countdown vs. Clock Time
by Jeanette Ehnerd on 01/25/12Remember, Countdown is different than Clock Time. “Clock Time” is a countdown from the first pre-game segment to the first in-game segment. “Countdown” is a countdown of an individual segment (ex: half time, time outs, inning breaks, etc.).
Note: When you ask for the Countdown (checking Count Down Time in the Modify Segment window), it will not show in the same column as the Clock Time. If you want both, make sure you include both columns on your document, GO LIVE perspective, or production schedule editor.
TSE GameTime Tip of the Week: Adjusting the First Segment Trick
by Jeanette Ehnerd on 01/18/12
After you generate a production schedule in TSE GameTime ScriptPRO, the system will not allow for a time segment to be added before your first pre-game segment. However, there is a way to make it work. Start by renaming the first time segment. Follow this by placing a time segment after the first segment and renaming it to the original first segments title. Then, take the elements from the newly titled first segment and drag them to the second segment. This is will give you the solution you are looking for.
Note: The easier way to do this is by adjusting your segment order and titles in the settings area. This tip is for adding a segment after the production schedule is created. Just in case you have a last minute change that needs to happen.
TSE GameTime Tip of the Week: "Get Game Clock Time"
by Jeanette Ehnerd on 01/13/12
The "Get Game Clock Time" check box, found in the timing tab in the Well Elements, ties to the GO LIVE timestamp feature. If the "Get Game Clock Time" check box is checked, when that element is time stamped in GO LIVE, a small pop-up will display. Manually enter the game clock time in that pop-up window, then click enter. That information will save and can be added to reports/documents if desired.
Note: To add the “Game Clock Time Stamp” to a report, click the “Columns to Show” tab. You will find a check box labeled “Game Clock Time Stamp”. Make sure the box is checked before you run the report. You will now have the times that you manually entered in the clock time while running GO LIVE.
TSE GameTime Tip of the Week: Entering Times
by Jeanette Ehnerd on 01/06/12
When setting a time in TSE GameTime ScriptPRO (Element Duration, Game Clock Time Stamp, Segment Durations, etc.), remember these key points:
- Typing the numbers 1 through 14 will record as minutes (example: typing 7 will show as 0:07:00)
- Typing the number 15 or above will record as seconds (example: typing 75 will show as 0:01:15)
- When typing the exact minutes and seconds make sure to include a colon in-between the hours, minutes and seconds (example: the duration is 5 minutes and 30 seconds. Type zero, colon, zero, five, colon, three, zero to show as 0:05:30. Typing 530, without the colon, will show as 0:08:50)
